Journal Policies

At the Journal of Pharmacology, Genetics and Molecular Biology (JPGMB), we take pride in our rigorous, transparent, double-blind peer review process. This procedure ensures our published research's quality, credibility, and impartiality. Here's an overview of our peer review process:

  1. Submission:

Authors submit their manuscripts through our user-friendly online submission system.

  1. Initial Assessment:

Upon submission, our editorial team conducts an initial assessment to ensure that the manuscript adheres to our submission guidelines and is suitable for peer review.

  1. Double-Blind Review:
  • Assignment: The manuscript is assigned to two expert reviewers with relevant expertise in the field. These reviewers are carefully selected to maintain anonymity.
  • Blind Review: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript without knowing the authors' identities or vice versa. This double-blind process ensures an unbiased assessment.
  1. Peer Review Evaluation:

Reviewers thoroughly evaluate the manuscript, considering factors such as originality, methodology, significance, and presentation.

  1. Reviewer Recommendations:
  • Acceptance: If both reviewers recommend acceptance, the manuscript moves to the acceptance stage.
  • Revision: Authors are invited to make the necessary improvements if reviewers suggest revisions.
  • Rejection: If reviewers recommend rejection, our editorial team will assess the manuscript further.
  1. Editorial Decision:

Based on reviewer recommendations and editorial evaluation, the Editor-in-Chief makes a final decision:

  • Acceptance: The manuscript is accepted for publication.
  • Minor Revisions: Authors are required to address minor revisions suggested by reviewers.
  • Major Revisions: Authors must make significant revisions and resubmit the manuscript.
  • Rejection: Manuscripts that do not meet our quality standards may be rejected.
  1. Author Revision:

Authors can revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback and editorial recommendations.

  1. Final Review:

Revised manuscripts undergo a final review to ensure that all revisions have been appropriately addressed.

  1. Publication:

Accepted manuscripts are published in the next available issue.

  1. Post-Publication Engagement:

Engage with your readers and the global research community through our interactive platform. Discuss your research findings, answer questions, and contribute to ongoing scientific dialogue.

Our commitment to double-blind peer review ensures that your research is rigorously evaluated and that our readers can trust the quality of our published content. We value transparency, integrity, and collaboration; our peer review process is a testament to these principles.

Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Pharmacology, Genetics and Molecular Biology (JPGMB) will strictly adhere to the plagiarism policy. The content of the manuscript should not be plagiarized, and proper references must be provided for the information extracted from various sources of the literature available. All submitted manuscripts will be screened using Plagiarism Detection Software. Authors should obtain necessary permissions for using copyright material in terms of artwork, adaptations, etc.

Plagiarism in any form is not acceptable under any circumstances. A declaration of original work must be submitted with the final article, failing which the article will not be considered for editorial screening. Author/s must ensure the authenticity of the articles. Any unethical behaviour (plagiarism, false data, etc.) may lead to rejecting the article at any stage (peer review, editing, etc.). Published articles may be withdrawn if plagiarism and/or falsifying results are indicated.

To handle the cases of research and publication misconduct, (JPGMB) follows the guidelines issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
