In order to maintain the sustainability of our journal and support the publication process, we charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) to authors whose manuscripts have been accepted for publication.

What are Article Processing Charges (APCs)?

Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fees paid by authors or their institutions to cover the costs associated with the publication process, including peer review, editing, typesetting, hosting, and dissemination of their research articles. APCs help offset the expenses incurred by JPGMB in managing and maintaining the publication infrastructure, ensuring that our journal remains open access and freely available to readers worldwide.

Why are APCs necessary?

As an open-access journal, JPGMB does not charge readers subscription or access fees. Instead, we rely on APCs to cover the costs of publishing and maintaining our journal. APCs enable us to maintain high editorial standards, ensure rigorous peer review, and provide comprehensive editorial and technical support to authors throughout the publication process.

How much are the APCs for JPGMB?

The APCs for JPGMB are as follows:

- Article: $100 USD / ₹ 2,500 

Please note that these APCs are subject to change and may vary depending on factors such as the length and complexity of the manuscript, as well as any additional services requested by the author.

Waivers and Discounts

JPGMB offers waivers or discounts on APCs to authors from low- and middle-income countries, as well as to authors facing financial hardship. Authors who are unable to cover the full cost of APCs may apply for a waiver or discount by providing relevant documentation or justification during the submission process. All requests for waivers or discounts are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the editorial team.

Payment Process

Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication in JPGMB, authors will receive an invoice detailing the APCs and payment instructions. Payment can be made securely online via credit card or bank transfer. Once payment is received, the manuscript will proceed to the production stage, where it will undergo copyediting, typesetting, and formatting before being published online.
